"Think, Think, Think! Tuck it away."
Mary Frances Marlin Author, Kids books Safe and Secure, Kids Safety Tips
Young children can learn how to be safe and secure and how to prevent injuries with the help of their caregivers. This book offers life-saving information for adults paired with lessons for children from Gronwee, a very smart safety frog. Injuries are not accidents because we know where, when, why, and how they happen. They are preventable. Kids Safe and Secure helps both children and adults learn these important concepts about everything from 9-1-1 awareness to traffic and stranger safety.
“Mary Marlin has written a marvelous, magical book about childhood safety that every parent and grandparent should read. Using a wonderful central character, Gronwee, Mary uses repetition and beautiful illustrations to review critical safety information for families that could save your child's life. It's a book to read over and over again to remind young children to stay safe and healthy." —Gary Goodman, MD Medical Director, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit CHOC Children's at Mission Hospital.

5.0 out of 5 stars Think, Think, Think! Tuck it away

If you were to THINK, THINK, THINK! and wanted to come up with learning lessons for the children (and others) in your life, you would come up with the same list the author did. You will want to reinforce these basic safety practices and reinforce the learnings they need to "tuck away".
Mary has done that for you and added graphics that will make all age groups smile.
At the bottom of each page/lesson, there is a 2-line rhyme that becomes a jingle in your head to help the memory recall.
The book is easy to read, the illustrations whimsical and made me smile. The graphics are culturally diverse so any reader/ family will be able to self-identify.
I am pleased to have bought the book and recommend it to you!
It is an easy way to spread safety practices that will last the child's life and make you smile each time you read it.

TRUE OR FALSE?I don’t have to worry because I will hear my child call for help, cough or sputter, or call for mommy or daddy if they are in trouble in the pool. FALSE! Drowning is silent! We will not know a child is drowning unless we see them go under the water. That is why there always needs to be a water watcher when children are around a pool. Buy this book and read it to your children and learn how drowning can be prevented. Be a LIFE SAVER!

TRUE OR FALSE?Children drown in the ocean or lakes more than anywhere else! FALSE! Most children drownings occur in pools or spas. A child can drown in the toilet. Children have large heads and if they lean into a toilet, they can be pulled in by gravity and cannot stand up again. They can drown in a bathtub, a bucket of water, a dog’s water dish, or any amount of water that covers their nose and mouth. Buy this book and read it to your children and learn how drowning can be prevented. Be a LIFE SAVER!
